Clinical Career Path
Cardiology Tech
Provides the radiological and hemodynamic expertise required
for Cardiac Catheterization procedures. This will include
the operation of all related equipment, measurements and calculations,
Quality Improvement and radiation safety. Performs services
for patients from all age groups.
- Must be a high school graduate.
- Must be registered or registry eligible for Invasive
Cardiovascular registry or ARRT. BCLS certified is required.
Ability to:
- Perform hemodynamic and catheterization techniques.
- Operate related equipment.
- Manually calculate hemodynamic measurements.
- Communicate effectively with physicians, patients and
staff.
- Assist RN with patient care.
- Perform Scrub Tech duties.
