An experienced team
Our program is staffed by physicians specializing in sleep disorders from a variety of disciplines, including psychiatry, pulmonary and critical care medicine, pediatrics, and adult and child neurology.
The physicians and other trained professionals at the center are experienced both in sleep-related disorders and in diseases to which sleepiness contributes. With years of expertise and the latest technology, these specialists work in conjunction with patients’ primary care physicians to diagnose and treat patients who have sleep related problems.

Your visit to the Sleep Lab
Before a patient spends the night in the Sleep Lab, he or she will first see a specialist at the Sleep Disorders Center. The physician will complete a comprehensive medical history, which helps rule out physical illness or other factors as the cause of the patient’s sleeping problem.
If the physician decides a sleep study is in order, the patient will come to the lab to spend the night. The bedrooms have a relaxed, home-like atmosphere and are equipped with television, radio, fan and air-conditioning.
Results of the sleep study are reported to your primary care physician. If necessary, you will be seen in the center for follow-up.

In conjunction with The Wege Institute at Saint Mary’s, the Sleep Disorders Center actively integrates complementary therapies into patients’ overall treatment program.
Among the complementary therapies that have been found to benefit patients suffering from sleep disorders are acupuncture, manual therapy, music therapy, and neurofeedback.
