Arthroscopy
Arthroscopy allows an orthopedic surgeon to diagnose and treat disorders inside the joint through state-of-the-art instruments that provide a clear view of the joint. The physicians at Saint Mary’s are certified to perform arthroscopic examinations as well as perform arthroscopic surgery.
Arthroscopy is one of the most common orthopedic surgeries in the United States, and we are proud to offer this service to our patients. This technology allows our physicians to give an accurate diagnosis and provide proper treatment of joint problems, ensuring the best orthopedic care for all our patients. And, because arthroscopic surgery is far less invasive, this means less pain and much quicker recovery times.

Elbow
Your elbow is an essential part of your daily life. It allows you to work, play and perform everyday activities. In fact, how well your elbow functions depends entirely on the integrity of the ligaments, tendons, muscles and bones that comprise this all-important joint.
At Saint Mary’s, our physicians are well-trained in the numerous surgical techniques and non-surgical treatment plans designed to restore function and range of motion. Whether you suffer from years of use or a traumatic injury, a chronic condition or a recent development, you do not have to endure pain or stiffness in your elbow.
Our highly trained physicians understand the intricate workings of the elbow. With our dedication to continuing medical education and our practice using the latest technology, we specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of conditions of the entire upper extremity. Foot/ankle
Foot and ankle pain are common disorders. Almost 80 percent of the population experiences foot pain in their lives. At Saint Mary’s, we believe that no one should have to live with painful feet. We are trained and equipped to diagnose and treat all problems involving the foot and ankle. We treat people of all ages, for problems such as calluses and bunions, as well as serious injuries and disorders. Many foot and ankle problems can be remedied with conservative care, including correctional orthotic devices. For patients with conditions that fail to respond to conservative care, surgical intervention may be necessary.
Foot and ankle surgery includes the treatment of fractures, repair of tendon injuries, correction of deformity, management of ankle instability and bone/cartilage from sports-related injuries, and comprehensive management of heel pain.
Saint Mary’s is dedicated to keeping our patients’ feet in the healthiest condition. Our goal is to relieve patients of chronic pain and to return function and enjoyment to everyday activities.

Fracture care
If more pressure is put on the bone than it can stand, it will break or fracture. There are partial fractures and whole fractures. The bone can be seen through the skin in an open fracture and cannot be seen in a closed fracture. A broken bone or fracture is diagnosed through an x-ray, an MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) or a CT (computed tomography) scan. Treatment options vary according to the type of fracture and severity. Saint Mary’s Orthopedic Services works to promote healing, alleviate pain and restore your bone to its normal function.

The Trauma Center at Saint Mary’s Health Care is verified by the American College of Surgeons and receives patients for any type of orthopedic injury.
