DIABETES: THE SILENT KILLER – Doctors predict that
one out of three children born in the year 2000 will be diagnosed
with type two diabetes. That's a staggering statistic! Find
out the answers in our in depth look at diabetes in "Diabetes:
The Silent Killer," part of the Healthy Body/Healthy
Mind series.
Viewers are able to call in questions to a live, in-studio
panel of experts, featuring Saint Mary’s affiliated
physicians, Mark Boelkins MD and Daniel Borreson MD. The panel
will also feature a Saint Mary’s kidney transplant patient.
Saint Mary's is a proud underwriter for the Family Health
Matters series on WGVU television. Now in its 14th year, WGVU
Family Health Matters offers in-depth examination of health
issues of interest to people in West Michigan. This year’s
